About this workshop
This technical photography crash course offers an introduction to digital photography and how to use a camera or phone. Participating designers will learn more about how this tool can enhance their practice. It offers foundational knowledge on exposure, lighting, composition, and printing. They will also learn how to use relevant software like photoshop and lightroom, in addition to some editing tips and ideas to represent their works and designs. No previous experience in photography is required.
About the facilitator
Hussam Da'na is a Jordanian photographer and visual consultant to several platforms and magazines. He received the Hans Jorg Wyss fellowship in 2017 and participated in the "Master of Art in the Public Sphere" program at EDHEA in Switzerland. Hussam has collaborated with various local and regional projects and platforms such as 7iber, Amman Design Week, Eyen collective, Turbo, and brown book. His work has been featured twice at The “Recontres d’Arles” photography festival in France. He is interested in public spaces/ spheres, art interventions, and street photography.
