About this Workshop
Where does value in design come from, and how is it defined? The module will work with designers to better understand and define the value of their skills, services, or products – both from financial and social impact perspectives. Using tools to evaluate their supply chain and final product offering, designers will be guided through a process that allows them to define their value proposition, competitive edge, and target customers. Practical tools include learning about the basics of financing models, methods of pricing the product, and the basics of financial management. By the end of the module, designers will be able to identify their unique differentiator, and be better equipped at building a business model that best suits them.
