In this day and age, we ought to ask ourselves how we are able to create and take advantage of new economic and social opportunities that offer us the capacity to recover after catastrophes and grow strong in times of relative calm. Post-crisis economies and business models have shifted tremendously due to the on-going pandemic, therefore developing a proper understanding of resilience and its relevance to design and business is imperative.
In an inter-connected world, we have opportunities more than ever to acquire knowledge and build business models that give us the ability to spring back effectively. We will visit some of these business models, build a simple financial structure around a product or service, and explore way to create businesses as a force for good - for individuals, organizations, community, and beyond.
About the facilitator
Safa Hijazeen is a Jordanian entrepreneur with an unwavering focus on social impact of business and education. He is a certified facilitator in Inter-Cultural Intelligence (ICI) which is a practical framework for facilitation and team success planning.
Safa is also certified in Everything DiSC, Team Dimensions, and Time Mastery (Wiley suite) as a globally recognized offering for personal leadership development, and change management.
He has facilitated workshops for and worked with team from CNN Arabic, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Zain Telecom, WHO, UNDP, Dubai Humanitarian City, Dubai Future Foundation, Bank Al Etihad, Arab Bank, among others in the region.
Safa holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), with emphasis on Human Resource Management and Strategic Leadership, and a Bachelors of Science in Web and Information Technology, both from the US.
