In this module of Sustainable and Social Design, participants in the Product Design Fellowship program delved into the world of responsible and impactful design practices. Through a series of engaging discussions and drawing inspiration from real-life case studies, participants explored the key principles and approaches of sustainable design and practical strategies for incorporating sustainability and social responsibility into their own practices. Encouraging participants to think beyond aesthetics and understand how their creations can positively impact communities and be mindful of the environment.

Haneen Jaafreh is an architect and multidisciplinary designer who weaves together the realms of art and technology. With a foundation in digital design cultivated over a decade of experience, Haneen is driven by a deep-rooted passion for sustainable and recyclable projects. As an esteemed alumnus of Fabricademy, the textile and technology academy, Haneen embarked on a transformative journey, exploring the realms of bio and 3D printed textiles. Whether it's the creation of awe-inspiring art installations, visionary fashion design projects, or groundbreaking 3D printed wearable art, her work embodies a harmonious fusion of creativity, technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to sustainability. Moreover, she channels her expertise and passion into conducting workshops and delivering lectures, advocating for sustainability and empowering others to embrace eco-conscious practices.
